The Spirit is life because of righteousness. This, then, is that birth of the Spirit, which makes one entirely new; it makes the sinner righteous by making him a keeper of the law of God.

Since it was by the anointing of the Spirit that He accomplished all His work here on earth (See Isaiah 61:1-3), it is evident that the presence of the Spirit is the same as the presence of the Lord.
Bear this in mind that while the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, the rest, which the Sabbath day brings to view, is continuous. Only those who rest in the Lord all the time keep the Sabbath. When Jesus cried, “It is finished,” He was announcing that through His cross could be obtained the perfect works of God, which were finished from the foundation of the world.
In the matter of the duty of keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, it is not to be understood that the two can for a moment be separated. The commandments can not be kept except by the faith ofJesus Christ; and the faith of Christ amounts to nothing unless it is manifested in good works - the good works consist in keeping the commandments of God.
