sanctification

Sabbath School Today | with the 1888 Message Dynamic

"For thirteen weeks millions of Christians worldwide will be studying the Bible symbolism of “garments of righteousness.” There is only one gospel which is in harmony with God’s law. It is the gospel which teaches “that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us” (Rom. 8:4)."  Paul E. Penno

Justification and Sanctification

We are to understand that whenever we accept Christ, his righteousness is set to our account. Thus “the righteousness of God” is manifested in our past lives, even though we ourselves have never done a single act of righteousness. So we have the wonder of perfect obedience to the law, without a single righteous act on our part. The righteousness of God without the law—Christ’s righteousness imputed to us.               Ellet J. Waggoner

Saints of God

"The object of this article is not to lower anybody’s conception of sanctification, or saintship, but to elevate the conception of what it is to be a Christian."  ~Ellet J. Waggoner

The Union of Justification and Sanctification

Paul Penno

Justification by faith is the experience of the atonement with God. Sanctification is but the continued deepening appreciation for the cross.
