"We Only Accept the Seed, Never the Plant that Grows from It!"

"Seventh-day Adventists, standing before the world as the exponents of the greatest truth that was ever committed to the hands of any people, and boasting, as we have done, that we are a people who stand upon the Bible, a people who are Bible students,—I say we all have a right to be ashamed of ourselves, that we have neglected that very thing which has been committed to us, and so much of the Word of God has been left to lie idle.

The New Year

The New Year

The “New Year” is at hand; and the time by common consent sacred to the formation of new resolutions. In most cases, however, the resolutions of the previous year have the dust brushed off from them, and are made to serve again, being just as good as new on account of never having been used.

1888 Sabbath School Helps (for next quarter)

Alonzo T. Jones writes a comprehensive and practical study on the Holy Spirit that is a refreshing blessing to all who read it. It gives insights far beyond the quarterly, thus giving a depth and breadth to class discussions that otherwise wouldn't happen.

For convenience, below are links to the Jones material and also the Quarterly. Download both and print, share, or just keep them handy on your device.

The 1888 message truths for this presentation are: 1) The humanity of Christ and its resulting meaning to us; 2) He is our Substitute in that He substitutes Himself for us, and we appear no more; and 3) Creation and redemption are the same thing.

The Real Presence - (1888 Core Belief)

The Real Presence

BEFORE the Lord Jesus Christ went away from the world, he said to his disciples, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:18.

As he was about to ascend to heaven from the Mount of Olives, he said again to his disciples, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature; . . . and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matt. 28:20.

Christ's by Crucifixion.

"They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the passions and lusts." It is by death that we become joined to Christ. As many as are baptized into Christ, have put on Christ (Gal. 5:27), and as many as have been baptized into Christ, have been baptized into His death (Rom. 6:3). "Our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin." Rom. 6:6, 7.
