The Fall into Sin
Even so today, our Laodicean paralysis stems from the same issue faced by Eve at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil - will we do the ‘simple thing’ and hold firmly to the Word of our Creator and thus be kept from sinning, or will we fall for the interpretations, explanations and ‘enlightenments’ from the theologians in the trees?

The fall into sin
The Bible says Eve was "deceived" and that Adam committed the "sin". Where do you draw the line that the Bible does. Here you seem to say that it was Eve that sinned, with no mention of Adam. So what distintion is the Bible drawing and for what reason?
I agree that Adam should have held firmly to the Word of his Creator and abided by the 1st Covenant--Obey and Live. But he did not and now, today, we cannot do as Adam should have--Obey and Live. Are we not under the 2nd Covenant--Trust in another to do for you which you cannot do for yourself? The first Adam had the wisdom and power to obey God. The second Adam also had the wisdom and the power to obey God, but he did not use his own wisdom and power. Why? Because neither can we. So, how exactly do we Obey God's Law?
Christ's life revealed perfect obedience to God's law, and Mrs White tells us that after his babtism he held fast to God's word in His battle with Satan in the Wilderness. But it was not his obedient life that he held to in Gethsamene or at the Cross, when His Father seemed so far away. To what did he hold firm that got Him through those times?
I do like your reference to the serpant's voice as the "theologians in the trees."
