The Fact That Jesus Has . . .
From: The Back Page
"The Fact That Jesus Has . . . "
The fact that Jesus has done everything for man is sometimes perverted. It is often said that as He fulfilled the law, keeping it for us, we have nothing whatever to do with it. That is the same as saying that because He always told the truth, we may lie with impunity; that as He honored the Father, we are free to dishonor Him. No greater error could be conceived.
Foundational Principles | E. J. Waggoner
Excerpt: "The just have to live their lives on this earth in the flesh, and that life is the life which they live by faith. The physical life of the just person is by faith. 'I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.' Gal. 2:20. The life of Jesus is to be "made manifest in our mortal flesh.' 2 Cor. 4:11." E. J. Waggoner.
"A Cry for Help" | E. J. Waggoner
EXCERPT: "When God forgives our sin, that forgiveness is the power by which we resist sin in the future. The life that cleanses from the sin abides with us to withstand it. Christ is a merciful and faithful High Priest, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people; but His priesthood is according to “the power of an endless life.” Heb. 7:16.
